Chloe, No Return, and the third series of The Bay have also all launched this year.
But when the dramas come to an end, many will be wondering what they can binge next.
The BBC has already announced the return of Strike, Bloodlands, Gentleman Jack and Happy Valley but what new dramas can you expect in the near future?
We've taken a look and there's plenty to watch out for, from a new detective series to book adaptations and thrillers. Here's what we know.
Our House
The four-part drama has been described an "edge-of-your-seat" thriller and is coming to ITV and ITV Hub soon.
Our House is adapted by Simon Ashdown from the international best-selling novel and produced by Red Planet Pictures.
The series will see Line of Duty star Martin Compston and Downton Abbey actress Tuppence Middleton play estranged husband and wife, Fi and Bram Lawson.
Also joining the cast is Rupert Penry-Jones, who takes on the role of enigmatic Toby, while Weruche Opia (I May Destroy You,) stars as Fi’s best friend and neighbour Merle, and Buket Komur (Honour) is the mysterious and alluring Wendy.
First look images have dropped for the series suggesting it will be launching on the channel soon.
The Holiday
A Channel 5 original drama, The Holiday, based on TM Logan's bestselling thriller, has been teased by the broadcaster.
The series stars Jill Halfpenny, who plays Kate, a woman who discovers her husband is having an affair during a holiday in the Mediterranean.
A synopsis reads: "Her four best friends are on holiday with her, but which one is it? As Kate closes in on the truth in the stifling Mediterranean heat, she realises too late that the stakes are far higher than she ever imagines, because someone in the villa may be prepared to kill to keep their affair hidden."
The Holiday is set to air on Channel 5 this year.
Ridley
Another Line of Duty star is also filming an ITV series, with Adrian Dunbar, best known for playing Superintendent Ted Hastings in the popular drama, taking on the title-role in new detective series Ridley.
Although no start date has been confirmed for Ridley, which will be made up of four two-hour films, ITV announced earlier this year that filming had begun in Lancashire.
A synopsis for the series, reads: "The series will introduce viewers to charismatic Detective Inspector Alex Ridley, who is retiring from the police after years of dedicated service.
"Ridley's replacement is DI Carol Farman, played by Bronagh Waugh (Unforgotten, The Fall), his former protégée whom Ridley mentored for many years.
"When he's enlisted by Carol as a police consultant on a complex and compelling murder case, the investigation takes a dark and unexpected turn.
"Turning to her old mentor for support, Carol is keen to access Ridley's unique insight into crime-solving which has served them so well in the past. With more intriguing cases to solve, Ridley will revive his formidable and successful partnership with Carol."
Adrian said: "Ridley has begun shooting and we really couldn't be off to a better start.
"Despite the wintry weather, everything from cast and crew right down to the catering is excellent. Bronagh Waugh has stepped into her character's shoes seamlessly and we have been joined by some great actors with more to come."
Blue Lights
Another new drama in filming is BBC's Blue Lights.
The six-part original is from the writers of The Salisbury Poisonings, Declan Lawn and Adam Patterson, and follows three rookie police officers working in Belfast.
The cast includes Siân Brooke (Sherlock, Good Omens), Martin McCann (Marcella, Sentinel), Richard Dormer (Game of Thrones, Fortitude), Katherine Devlin (The Dig, Vikings) and newcomer Nathan Braniff will lead the cast alongside John Lynch (Tin Star, The Fall), Jonathan Harden (Time, Unforgotten) and Valene Kane (The Fall, Gangs of London).
Siân Brooke said: "I am so thrilled to be playing Grace in Blue Lights.
"There is something incredibly special that Declan and Adam have crafted in these scripts and I was hooked from the very first page.
"Belfast is the beating heart of this piece and it’s a city I’ve been wanting to work in for a long time."
There is no release date yet but filming has begun in Belfast.
Ipcress file
Globally renowned Len Deighton novel, The Ipcress File has been adapted into a six part television series for ITV.
It will star Joe Cole (Gangs of London, Peaky Blinders) in the iconic role of Harry Palmer alongside Lucy Boynton (Bohemian Rhapsody, Murder on the Orient Express) and BAFTA award winning actor, Tom Hollander (The Night Manager, Birdbox).
Filming for the high octane spy thriller has already taken place in Liverpool and Croatia and following the release of the trailer we now know the Ipcress file will drop in March.
