New trustees are needed for South Lanarkshire’s Leisure and Culture Board.
The trustees will help oversee leisure and cultural activities throughout South Lanarkshire and to help SLLC with their mission to improve health and wellbeing.
SLLC has been serving the area for 20 years and cover a wide remit such as the management of fitness gyms, community halls, libraries, cultural venues, country parks, gold courses, outdoor water sports as well as a range of outdoor sports pitches, bowling greens, tennis courts and the zoo at Calderglen Park, museums and an ice rink.
General Manager of SLLC, Kay Morrison, said: “At its core, being a trustee is a governance role and good governance is fundamental to our effectiveness.
“Our Board meets a minimum of four times per year and new Board members will receive training and development to ensure they feel confident in their appointment and are able to undertake their legal obligations and contribute to our public charitable objectives.
“We are making a difference, but we have more to do. Your passion and insight could be the key to our future success.
“If you share our vision of ‘Healthier, happier, more connected lives’ and would like to learn more about becoming a Trustee with SLLC, then we would like to hear from you.”
To learn more about these unique opportunities, and to find out how to apply, email (general.manager@southlanarkshireleisure.co.uk) or call 01698 476262 (during office hours).
The closing date for applications is August 22, 2022.
