As Covid cases rise, health experts have warned that the most widespread symptoms have changed in recent weeks.
Infections are increasing steadily in most of the UK after infections rose by 31 percent in 10 days with a notable increase seen in the elderly population. Cases are at their highest number since late July, but still below the 3.8 million weekly infections in early July amid peak of the wave caused by the Omicron BA.4/BA.5.
The telltale signs of Covid have changed with the emergence of new variants. While a sore throat and a cough appeared to be the top signs in previous weeks, the ZOE Health Study reports that the top two symptoms have shifted.
