Baan Trok Tua Ngork, a heritage space in Chinatown, is holding its first building-wide pop-up event -- "Baan Trok Presents: Sprout" -- from this Saturday to March 31.
The event showcases young and emerging talents in Thailand who bring their craft and passion to bear on three main areas -- food and beverage, arts and better living.
The line-up includes "AfterTaste By Paka", a solo exhibition by Paka who narrates the ups and downs of her personal journey with playful paintings that deal with difficult subjects in an approachable manner.
Also on view will be vernacular documentation of heritage buildings in Thailand including Baan Trok hand drawn by Vernadoc Thailand; hand-sewn notebooks and hand-binded sketch books by Dibdee Book Binders; handcrafted architectural models and furniture by O.Millim; pottery by Vessel of Light; and customised scents for spaces by Vibes Laboratory.
Featured in the food and drink programming will be Good Cha, Thailand's first vegan matcha bar; Vira Care x Her Nam Is Nala pop-up dinner scheduled for March 11; Megan Leon x Dylan @haawm.bkk x Na Projects pop-up dinner on March 18; followed by Shabar Chocolate x Wine Tasting workshop on March 19; and Slow Kat pop-up dinner on March 25.
