Swan Hellenic has introduced some extra swing into its cruise excursions.
The expedition cruise line is giving guests a chance to take part in a round on five dream golf championship courses during its Atlantic Horizons: From Portugal to the Canary Islands cruise in September.
Guests can purchase a golf excursion during the six-night sailing aboard SH Diana to play on the Palmares Golf Resort course in the Algarve, the Tony Jacklin Casablanca in Casablanca, Golf de Mogador in Safi, Golf du Soleil in Agadir and Costa Teguise Golf in Lanzarote.
The courses can be booked individually at £275 each or as a complete package for £1,095.
The price includes all transfers, green fees and trolleys, driving range warm-ups when time allows, and halfway refreshments. You need to bring your own golf clubs.
Extras are available to purchase such as baggage handling, shoe shining and golf club cleaning.
There will also be a voyage golf award for the top performer.
The cruise fare starts at £3,030 per person and Swan Hellenic currently has an Elevated Expeditions offer that adds free wifi upgrades and onboard credit worth up to $500 per passenger onto bookings.
Other excursions are available for those who do not play golf, including visits to Moroccan bazaars or the volcanoes of Lanzarote.
The SH Diana is the largest five-star ship in the fleet, with 127 staff to 192 guests.
Onboard facilities include a spa with an infinity pool, jacuzzi and steam rooms as well as a pool bar, Swan restaurant and Club Lounge.
Andrea Zito, chief executive of Swan Hellenic, said: “Nothing about Swan Hellenic is just par for the course.
“Which is why it gives us such pleasure to take our intrepid guests to experience five of the most magnificent golf courses in the world – all in one unforgettable cruise to see what others don’t.”
Other cruise lines including Azamara and Uniworld also offer golf-themed cruises.
