The mystery is over and it is official that new Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Patrick Peterson will don No. 20 this season for the Steelers. The team shared the video below of him picking No. 20. He will wear the same number former Steelers cornerback Bryant McFadden wore when he played.
Peterson and McFadden are cousins and co-hosts of the “All Things Covered” podcast together as well. Peterson had commented after the news first came out that he wanted to wear No. 7 and go back to his college number from LSU. But Peterson quickly retracted that request and let Steeler Nation know he was not going to try and take the number of Ben Roethlisberger.
The Steelers signed Peterson at the start of free agency from the Minnesota Vikings. He will start opposite Levi Wallace and replaces Cameron Sutton who signed with the Detroit Lions.
