Scots voters have backed remaining in the United Kingdom for the first time since the Supreme Court ruling on another independence referendum. A new poll by Savanta asked 1,048 Scots their views on breaking away or staying in the Union.
In a tight poll, 46 per cent voted against independence and 44 per cent voted in favour, while nine per cent were undecided. When undecided voters are removed, the poll suggests the No vote would take a narrow lead with 51 per cent, compared with 49 per cent for Yes.
The results are unchanged since Savanta's previous survey in October. A string of recent polls put independence support ahead, with 53 per cent backing leaving the union after the removal of undecided voters in a YouGov poll published earlier this month.
