New sci-fi movie Project Hail Mary debuts to best previews of 2026 and could become Amazon's biggest movie at the box office

Project Hail Mary has debuted to the best box office previews of the year so far, which could put the sci-fi blockbuster on track to become Amazon MGM Studio's biggest movie ever.

Deadline reports that the movie has made over $11 million in previews, beating Scream 7's $7.8 million. As for other original, non-franchise movies, Project Hail Mary has beaten Oppenheimer's preview takings of $10.5 million, F1's $10 million, and Sinners' $4.7 million.
