New satellite images from Maxar Technologies have unveiled the extensive burn scar left behind by the still-burning Eaton Fire. The aerial photos captured on Friday offer a detailed view of the topography of the area and the San Gabriel Mountains above Altadena in Los Angeles County.
The images taken by Maxar's satellite show the stark contrast between the untouched landscape and the charred aftermath of the fire. The plume of smoke rising from the fire is still visible as it continues to scorch through the Angeles National Forest.
