New research reveals the seven most desirable places to live in Scotland

NEW research has revealed the seven most desirable places to live in Scotland.

With the summer almost upon us and sunny weather already here, many people may be looking to make a move to somewhere where they can make the most of the glorious blue skies, especially now working from home is more common.

Office space consultancy Freeofficefinder.com has ranked the most desirable places to live north of the Border using the number of views each location received on TikTok.

So here they are…

7. Elie, Fife

The scenic spot of Elie in Fife came out as the seventh most desirable spot in Scotland, with its 16th-century harbour and sandy bay being top attractions.

6. Gullane, East Lothian

This beautiful seaside town on the Golf Coast with a stunning award-winning beach has had 293,400 TikTok views. People also enjoy the sight of Gullane on the John Muir Way – a footpath along the coast between Musselburgh and Dunglass. Gullane Golf Club has hosted the Scottish Open while Muirfield has hosted The Open Championship on several occasions.

4. Isle of Islay

You really can’t have a countdown of idyllic spots without including the islands. Islay in Argyll and Bute is home to numerous whisky distilleries which are mostly famous for making some of Scotland’s most peaty drams. Bowmore was founded way back in 1779 while Ardnahoe was established in 2018. There is also plenty of stunning landscapes and wildlife.
