New Ravens WR Zay Flowers plays with a chip on his shoulder

Baltimore Ravens’ 2023 first-round pick Zay Flowers might not be the tallest players coming out of draft, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t in line for a successful NFL career. It’s clear to anyone that watches Flowers play or hears him speak that he wants to be great, and plenty of players have gone on to have phenomenal professional careers without having major height.

During Flowers’ introductory press conference at the Under Armour Performance Center, he talked about playing with a chip on his shoulder. He mentioned feeling like an underdog, saying he’s going to continue playing like that moving forward.

“I did have a chip on my shoulder because of that. I mean, I still have it, because I felt like I was the underdog. So, I just play with a chip, and I’m going to continue playing like that.”
