New Primark bargain maternity range hailed as 'comfy' and 'fashionable' by mums-to-be

Primark has released new maternity clothes, and they have had a positive reception from most shoppers — with one going so far as to call them "fabulous".

The bargain giant's new line includes dresses, tops, and shirts designed to be fashionable and accommodate a baby bump at the same time.

Other items included in the new line include denim overalls, nursing bras, and baby changing bags — with prices for many of the products being around £10.

One eagle-eyed shopper who spotted the clothes in their local Primark quickly took to Facebook to spread the news.

Writing in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, they said: "New Maternity range in Primark stores".

Since being shared on Sunday, the post has since attracted more than 2,700 likes and an astonishing 5,800 comments from fellow consumers giving their thoughts.

Many were impressed with the low-cost pregnancy clothes, with one writing: "This is amazing maternity clothes are so expensive".

"Ooh these look good for us women a bit bigger also like," a second agreed.

A third echoed: "Some really lovely things that Primark are making. I bought some of this range the other day."

One satisfied customer revealed: "Have to say the dress fits fabulous and us true to normal size. £15 pretty impressed. Also the wrap round top for £10 is great too!"

Another joked: "I need this and not pregnant!"

Others who had recently given birth shared their frustration that the clothes were not available whilst they were pregnant.

One commented: "I’m so glad to see this When I was pregnant it was hard to find fashionable clothes"

"Where was this when I was pregnant," said a second.

Not everyone was a fan of the new clothes, with one sharing: "Went in the other day to my local Primark and their maternity range was awful!"

"Looks boring," echoed a second.
