New Argentinian steak restaurant Gaucho to open in Liverpool

New steak restaurant Gaucho will be coming to Liverpool's Water Street this month.

Gaucho has branches in cities across the UK, including London, Manchester and Leeds. The steak restaurant serves up food with a contemporary global influence, most notably based around modern Argentina.

Due to unprecedented demand for bookings, the restaurant will now be opening its doors on Wednesday, November 23 - earlier than initially planned. Gaucho Lates will launch on Thursday, November 24 and bring the party and the culture of modern Argentina to Liverpool every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night with entertainment, live music and DJ’s.

The team at Gaucho are keen to give back to the community and have chosen to support Alder Hey Children's Hospital. Gaucho has pledged to fully fit two parents' rooms in the hospital's new neonatal unit.

Helen Hughes, community and events manager at Alder Hey, said: “Alder Hey is delighted to be Gaucho's chosen charity for the launch of their fabulous Liverpool restaurant. Their generous donation will help towards funding equipment for the new surgical neonatal unit at Alder Hey, enabling parents and their babies to spend those first precious moments together”

The new restaurant will be a flagship for the group as its largest branch outside of London. It will be located in the heart of the city, occupying the former Bank of Liverpool building.

A stand-out feature will be Gaucho's two private dining rooms. Named 'The Board Room' and 'The Bankers Office', these are currently booking up quickly with Christmas parties.

The arrival of Gaucho to the city will also create 100 new jobs. The building has had a seven-figure investment and, once complete, will sit 200 diners. The venue will also boast a 90-cover bar area, two private dining rooms and a 'Beef Bar' where guests can enjoy experiences such as a beef and wine masterclass.

Guests will be greeted by two large bronze tiger's heads on the main doors of the building. The restaurant will boast grand high ceilings, original timber panelling and an original marble fireplace featuring a carved Liver Bird.

Gaucho will also be exclusively serving carbon-neutral beef, embodying CEO Martin Williams' vision for the way that restaurants should operate responsibly both socially and environmentally. The à la carte menu will be overseen by culinary director Mike Reid and will feature contemporary Latin American starters such as empanadas.

An array of steaks will be available for diners to choose from. Other main courses on Gaucho's extensive menu will include the vegan pasta alla norma and whole grilled sea bass.
