  • A new Ipsos poll reveals that 33 per cent of British adults would prefer satirical candidate Count Binface to win the Clacton by-election , while only 21 per cent back Reform UK leader Nigel Farage .
  • The by-election was prompted by Mr Farage's resignation, with major parties declining to field candidates, describing the contest as a 'fake' election.
  • Count Binface , an independent space warrior known for his humorous pledges, has become Mr Farage's primary competitor in the upcoming vote.
  • Mr Farage is currently subject to an investigation by the Parliamentary Standards Commissioner concerning a £5m donation, with 74 per cent of voters supporting the continuation of this inquiry.
  • Separate YouGov polling indicates that 73 per cent of Britons consider Mr Farage to be 'sleazy,' a perception shared by 69 per cent regarding his Reform UK party.
