More information has come to light about the group of people who had a picnic along the Portway.
Drivers along the busy road in Bristol were baffled on Friday (April 22) when they drove past a group sat around a fully laid dining table on a layby. They were sat along the road with a table, chairs, candles, a wicker basket - and even a lamp.
A first eyewitness said he saw the group at around 2.41pm, and another one has now said she actually spoke with the group. She said they pulled up in the traffic next to the group.

She added: "It was very random but my six-year-old niece thought it was fantastic! We cheered as we pulled up in the traffic next to them and they said we were welcome to join them! They were from south Wales.
"My niece was too busy screaming with laughter to get a proper conversation. They seemed to be really enjoying themselves!"

As entertained motorists drove past some honked their horns and the diners turned to wave to them. In a picture, the group can be seen sitting next to a large grey SUV.
