New on DVD: Peter Parker and friends return in 'Spider-Man: No Way Home'

The Marvel Cinematic Universe event that dominated at the box office tops the DVD releases for the week of April 12.

"Spider-Man: No Way Home": The third Spidey movie starring Tom Holland rips open the multiverse for Spider-Man to face down past foes, including Alfred Molina's Doc Ock and Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin.

"The multiverse approach does indeed liven up the proceedings that can get rather rote over the many, many versions of Spider-Man," writes Tribune News Service critic Katie Walsh in her review. "Turns out it’s a good thing when our Spider-Man flicks gain sentience, because it doesn’t get much more fun than this at the movies."

ALSO NEW ON DVD APRIL 12

"C'mon C'mon": Joaquin Phoenix stars as a radio journalist who is forced to take care of his nephew in director Mike Mills' heartfelt drama shot in black and white.

"Chesapeake Shores: Season 5": Hallmark Channel series based on the books by Sherryl Woods, about a young woman who returns to her hometown from the big city to help save her sister's inn.

"Chucky: Season One": Syfy show based on the horror franchise about a vintage child's doll with a homicidal mean streak.

"Last Looks": Charlie Hunnam plays a disgraced former LAPD officer who becomes involved in a murder investigation after an actor's wife is found dead. Also starring Mel Gibson and Morena Baccarin.

"WarHunt": World War II-set horror thriller about a group of American soldiers shot down over Germany in 1945 who must battle both Nazi soldiers and the sinister Black Forest.

OUT ON DIGITAL HD APRIL 12

"Infinite": Mark Wahlberg and Chiwetel Ejiofor star in director Antoine Fuqua's sci-fi thriller, originally released on Paramount+, about a man who comes to realize that what seem like hallucinations are actually visions from his past lives.

"Italian Studies": Vanessa Kirby plays a London writer who inexplicably loses her memory and suddenly becomes unmoored while visiting New York, finding herself adrift on the streets of Manhattan with no sense of time or place.
