Two North East firms have teamed up to launch a new electric car charging infrastructure partnership as demand for more EV services ramps up.
North Tyneside building services John N Dunn Group is working with Sanctus Consulting, to provide a service to public and private sector organisations across the region that want to meet growing car charging demands from customers, staff, residents and visitors.
The partnership is part of Wallsend-based John N Dunn Group’s ongoing diversification, to take advantage of growing opportunities within the electric car charging infrastructure sector, and the installation of renewable energy technologies.

The company will take responsibility for charging infrastructure for clients, carrying out ground works, the installation of infrastructure and back office management systems.
County Durham-based Sanctus Consulting, meanwhile, which specialises in energy purchasing and renewable energy supply contracts for the commercial market, will be responsible for the customer acquisition and relationship management side of the project.
John N Dunn Group holds the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles accreditation required to carry out EV infrastructure work and has completed a number of projects, including installing EV charging points at Durham Cricket’s Riverside Stadium in Chester-le-Street, which was followed by four more being installed at the homes of players and staff.
Stephen Bilclough, chairman at John N Dunn Group, said: “The availability of charging infrastructure will be the key catalyst for the wider uptake of electric vehicles and we’re acting to position ourselves at the forefront of these developments across the North East, and eventually beyond.
“We’re already training up more installation teams to ensure we have the resources required to meet the heightened levels of customer demand that we’re seeing and our partnership with Sanctus creates an even more compelling and comprehensive service offering for customers.
“Their renewable energy market expertise and our infrastructure capabilities makes a very strong combination, and will mean that clients can have confidence that every aspect of their EV charging infrastructure can be covered by a single supplier.
“We’re also working together on some exciting renewables technology developments that haven’t been seen in the region before and will provide customers with a range of new solutions to their EV charging requirements.”
Martin Oswell, director at Sanctus Consulting, added: “It was imperative that we found the right partner who could deliver EV charging installations and sophisticated renewable technology solutions to new and existing clients. John N Dunn has the skills and knowledge to fulfil this role and we’re excited about what we can achieve by working together.”
