A new AC Hotel by Marriott has opened in Inverness, the first for the brand in Scotland, creating 35 full and part-time jobs.
Hotel Co 51 will manage the new hotel, which sits on the banks of the River Ness on Glebe Street, overlooking the Kessock Bridge.
The four-story hotel will be the largest in the city, with 191 bedrooms. The 60-seat AC Lounge all-day restaurant and bar also comes with a riverside terrace for 30 people. Guests staying at the hotel also have access to 24-hour fitness centre.
Joining Hotel Co 51’s portfolio across Europe of 35 hotels in eight countries, AC Marriott Inverness is the company’s seventh property in Scotland and 16th in the UK – joining the likes of Moxy Edinburgh Fountainbridge and Courtyard by Marriott SEC in Glasgow.
Wayne Androliakos, UK regional director of operations for Hotel Co 51, commented: “We are honoured to open the first AC Marriott in Scotland and it’s in a great position, close to the start and end of the renowned NC500 in the capital of the Highlands.
“At Hotel Co 51 we’re proud that we continue to grow apace, adding to our rapidly expanding portfolio in Europe in strategic locations.”
