A man has been arrested after a man was stabbed in a late-night fight outside a pub.
A man in his 60s was rushed to hospital after being knifed in New Malden High Street at 11pm on Thursday.
His condition was downgraded to not life threatening at a south London hospital.
The high street was cordoned off with some buses put on diversion.
A 42-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of GBH and remains in custody, police said.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “Police were called to reports of a man stabbed in High Street, New Malden.
“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and the man, aged in his 60s, was taken to hospital for treatment; his condition is not life threatening.
“Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”
