Lounge has announced the date it will open a brand new restaurant in Filton next month. Barranco Lounge is moving into a unit in Abbeywood Retail Park formerly home to Frankie & Benny's.
The Loungers Group first began in Bristol after opening its flagship site on North Street in Bedminster. Today, it operates more than 200 venues across the country under the Lounge and Cosy Club brands, with the new Filton site set to be the fifth Lounge in Bristol.
"The builders are currently hard at work finishing off Barranco Lounge in time for our opening on March 22," the restaurant group said on its website. It will serve its usual all-day menus including brunch, tapas and salads to burgers and buttermilk fried chicken, with vegans and those favouring a gluten-free diet well catered.

The description of the new site reads: "Our Lounge will be a home-from-home, offering delicious food and drinks, all day, on your doorstep. We exist to bring people together and our unique atmosphere changes hour by hour with each new wave of customers. We are proud of our Lounge and its community and our aim is simple: every customer leaves happy.
"We’ll serve a wide range of food and drinks – we even have our very own gluten-free and vegan menu. We’ll have board games for big and small guests, toys for the really wee ones, and even refreshments for our canine guests. Old or young, big or small – pop along and we’ll look after you!"
Porto Lounge in Fishponds has recently moved expanded to a larger site to accommodate demand after reportedly seeing queues out the door at peak times. The group has launched its first roadside restaurant called Brightside in Exeter.
