Although it is always sad when someone dies, those passing away without a will could leave the proceeds of their estate unclaimed. In such instances, the money, property and goods passes to the Crown where it is held, waiting to be claimed. This means that family members could be missing out on a helping hand from their, perhaps unknown relative.
