New limits for personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits may become a reality in Texas

A proposal to limit how much an accident victim can recover in lawsuits for medical care won approval from the Texas House on Wednesday. The bill passed the House 87-51. It passed a preliminary vote 94-52 on Monday with the support of at least five Democrats.
