Fans of LeBron James and JJ Redick’s basketball podcast Mind the Game might want to sit down.
During his introductory press conference as the new head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, Redick shared that he’s been “ex-communicated from the content space” and that his podcasting days are over.
While he did say he and James would try to offer some sort of closure for fans of their show, it will not continue in his new duties leading the Lakers.
We’re not really sure how Redick’s run as the new Los Angeles coach will go, but we do know lots of NBA fans are going to miss the work he and James did on their highly cerebral and entertaining podcast.

At least the previous episodes will still be available. And, hey, this doesn’t work out for Redick, he’s got a perfect fallback option waiting for him on the other side of coaching.
