A new ‘state of the art’ bowling alley is set to open at Trafford Palazzo.
King Pins will feature 15 lanes of ten-pin bowling and six lanes of the shorter, lighter duckpin bowling.
Taking a large, 20,000 sq ft unit, it will also feature a massive 26 metre-long digital screen, stretching across all lanes, the first of its kind in Europe.
There will be a large central bar area, serving 20 different beers and a substantial cocktail menu. Meanwhile, food will be supplied by local street food vendors next to the Trafford Centre.
Matt Jones, Founder and CEO of King Pins, said: “We are really excited to be launching our flagship venue in Manchester and where better than the impressive surroundings of Trafford Palazzo.
“The venue will be family friendly during the day with plenty of activities to keep the whole family occupied.
"When the evening comes the lights will go down, the music will go up, and the atmosphere will become electric, appealing to evening entertainment seekers.”
The alley will be based just by the Sea Life Centre and Legoland in the area of the shopping centre now known as Trafford Palazzo, formerly Barton Square.
It’ll sit alongside the other leisure activities in the palazzo, including ice curling, shuffleboard, arcades, karaoke, pool, ping pong and mini golf.
And it’s only the latest development to be announced, with new Italian restaurant Matterello set to open later in the Spring. It will be followed by the Nerf Action Experience, and a new branch of burger chain Archie's, both set to arrive before the end of the year.
