A community initiative turned briefly sour — and then remarkably triumphant — in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey, after a thief targeted a neighborhood lemonade stand run by four young boys. What could have been a deeply discouraging lesson in crime for the children instead became a showcase of rapid law enforcement work.
According to Guessing Headlights, on Aug. 19, Chapel D. Lighty, 35, allegedly stole the children’s hard-earned cash container, only to be tracked down and apprehended on a park bench just 20 minutes later.
