One of Bristol’s newest Indian restaurants has been awarded the ‘Best Restaurant in Bristol’ award for the third time since opening. Namak, situated in St Werburghs, has been open for just nine months and already has three titles under its belt.
The Indian restaurant on Mina Road replaced The Cauldron after it closed at the end of 2021. Namak is fronted by Harris Massey, who previously co-owned the popular Indian-Chinese restaurant Rock Salt on Cotham Hill and worked at the UK’s popular Indian restaurant chain, Dishoom.
Namak won its first award at the prestigious British Restaurant Awards in London earlier in the year and last month, it won the ‘Best Restaurant in Bristol’ award at the South West regional of the England Business Awards. Owner Harris has since received the news that Namak has been Best Restaurant in Bristol from the Luxury Travel Awards, which recognises and celebrates excellence across all sectors of the affluent travel and tourism industry.
