New in Latin Music: J Balvin's Reggaeton, Carin León Makes History, María Becerra and Ivy Queen Join Forces

Two powerful reggaeton collaborations are shaking the world of Latin music this week, proving once again that the música urbana movement is more than a boom. "Primer Aviso" is María Becerra and Ivy Queen's first collaboration, and it's fire. La Nena de Argentina is also opening the Viña del Mar festival this weekend and getting ready for her two sold-out shows in the mythic stadium Monumental in Buenos Aires, where Becerra is the first Latina artist to have a solo show in the home of the legendary soccer team River Plate, with a capacity of 70,000 people each night.

Also from Argentina, iconic singer songwriter Diego Torres released his 10th studio album this week, aptly titled "Mejor que ayer." The focus track "Kapun" is Torres' second collaboration with Colombian star Carlos Vives, which comes with a fun video filmed in Bogotá.

Likewise, the soundtrack of the Prime Video original series 'Zorro' is available starting this week. The album features 14 original songs performed by prominent artists, including Juanes, Luis Fonsi, Carin León, La Santa Cecilia, Cami, Adriel Favela, Morat, and Joaquina, among others. All the songs in the series capture the life experiences of the characters in the context of a primal and violent society. Also, the album is released along with the track "La Paz" by Luis Fonsi, featuring Adriel Favela.

The second collaboration set to create big waves this week is J Balvin's new single "Triple S" in collaboration with De La Ghetto and Jowell & Randy. The song is a fresh addition to his repertoire, maintaining the classic reggaeton style. "Triple S" stands out for its powerful and motivating lyrics, centered on a woman taking control of her life after a breakup.

The title is an acronym for "Suelta, Soltera, Sin Nadie Que La Joda," reflecting the message of female empowerment and liberation. This release promises to be an inspiring anthem and a celebration of female strength.

Jary Franco and the Puerto Rican singer-songwriter and rapper Guaynaa present the song "Ojalá Llueva Tequila," an original heartbreak song produced by the renowned producer Andy Clay, who has worked with artists such as Karol G, Danna Paola, and Sebastián Yatra.

Also from Puerto Rico comes Bodine, with "No Me Quiere Mas Na". The single that tells the story of being deeply in love with someone who takes advantage of your heart. The visuals pay homage to Iris Chacon's "Con Tu Amor" video, the icon & pioneer who has inspired her career.
