MJ Kamson-Kamara has left Heart of Midlothian to join Kilmarnock on a short-term loan.
The move is subject to approval from the Scottish Football Association (SFA). The 20-year-old signed a four-year contract with Hearts in the summer after arriving from Lincoln City.
Despite the initial plan for him to be part of the first team, it was not expected that he would get regular playing time. However, the loan move to Rugby Park until January 15 offers Kamson-Kamara an opportunity for consistent first-team football.
Kilmarnock, currently managed by former Hearts player Neil McCann, have been facing defensive problems. This has been exacerbated by an injury to Robbie Deas.
Kamson-Kamara had a promising loan stint with Glentoran last season. He has made just one substitute appearance for Hearts, coming off the bench to make his debut at home against Benfica.

However, he was left out of the squad for the following game against Inverness CT in the Premier Sports Cup.
Hearts manager Wouter Vrancken commented on the player's energy and readiness. He said: "Yeah, he's okay. Like I said, same thing I want from every player: that they show every second the energy to want to be part of it on the pitch.
"When it's one minute or when it's 90 minutes or more, you have to grab your chance and put all your energy into it. When you're not ready to do it, then I have a problem with it.
So I want to see it from him, from every player in the squad."
The move to Kilmarnock will give Kamson-Kamara the chance to gain valuable first-team experience.
