A new Greggs store is set to open as part of a massive new student development in Swansea city centre.
The bakery's sign has been erected in one of the commercial units at the ground floor of the major new housing complex, situated between Mariner Street and Alexander Road.
It will be a welcome sight to the people who move into the 17-storey building, which when fully occupied will be home to 780 students, along with those who are catching a train at the nearby railway station on High Street.

The privately-funded project is being developed by Fusion Students, with construction partner ISG and project management company Rhomco also on board. The scheme had been completely revised from a previous version, which featured a 21-storey tower for 725 students but was felt to be commercially unviable.
The accommodation will be a mix of apartments and studios, with all rooms en-suite and also has a gym, cinema and courtyard, and 20,000 square feet of commercial ground floor space, where the bakery will be located.
It will become the 14th Greggs in Swansea, following on from its other units at Whitewalls, Swansea bus station, New Cut Road, Carmarthen Road, Oxford Street, Compass Swansea University, Queensway, Woodfield Street, Heron Way, Newton Road, High Street in Gorseinon, Lion Way and Moto Swansea (junction 47).
The British bakery chain specialises in savoury products like bakes, sausage rolls and sandwiches, along with sweet items including doughnuts and vanilla slices.
Greggs was contacted for comment, but the company said it was not in a position to do so at this stage.
