An innovative new company have come up with a unique idea that will sure to delight shoppers who hoard ramekins.
The small culinary dishes are a staple in most kitchens, especially those who love Gü, Lidl and Aldi desserts. Too good to throw away, they are often reused time and time again, to store spices, to be used as miniature plant pots, to poach eggs and to store random items you just can’t part with.
Now, Pudding Pot Lids have devised a “game-changing” product that has already gone down a treat with consumers. They have created bamboo suction seal lids which turn ramekins into storage containers and buyers just can’t enough of them, report the Manchester Evening News.
Their blurb about their new products, reads: “These bamboo suction seal lids allow you to turn your unwanted pots into useful storage containers. Simply place the lid onto your pot, and it will create a tight seal!
“Not only are Pudding Pot Lids a great way to reduce waste, they're also super handy. You can use them to store leftovers, fresh herbs, or anything else you need to keep fresh in the fridge.
“Plus, they're stackable, so they'll save you valuable space in your kitchen. You'll be surprised at how much easier they make storing and transporting your food.”
Jana and Jess started up the company in Hackney, London, and they say they “strive to be as green as possible. They said: “Eco consciousness has always been second nature for us.”
Shoppers and self-proclaimed hoarders of glass ramekins are obsessed with the idea. Commenting on their Instagram, scandiyears said: “What a fantastic idea, great for cake decorations.”
