Wales have fallen nine places down the FIFA world rankings and are now the lowest they have been since 2015, according to the projected post-World Cup standings.
After an incredible year which saw Rob Page's side reach the World Cup after enthralling play-off wins over Austria and Ukraine earlier this year, Wales disappointed with just one point and one goal from three games out in Qatar.
And that appears to have had a meaningful impact on their global rankings. According to reputed website football-ranking.com, when FIFA publish their official standings, expected to be on December 22, Wales will have fallen from 19th to 28th.

It is the first time Wales have been this low since they jumped from 37th in the world on March 12, 2015 to 22nd on April 9, less than a month later, following a 3-0 win over Israel in their Euro 2016 qualifying match.
But a frustrating showing in the Middle East last month has seen them become the joint-biggest fallers down the table, with fellow World Cup strugglers Serbia having also fallen nine spots to 30th.
Notably, World Cup-winners Argentina have moved up just one place to second, despite being crowned the best team in the world. Brazil, who were knocked out by Croatia on penalties at the quarter-final stage, retain their position at the top of the tree.
Finalists France creep up a place to third, while England are unmoved in fifth place after Gareth Southgate's side were knocked out by the French in the quarter-final.
Morocco are the biggest movers after a stunning tournament in which they exceeded everyone's expectations and reached the semi-finals, knocking out Spain and Portugal on the way there. They move 11 places from 22nd to 11th.
Australia also leapt up the standings, too, jumping 11 spots up to 27th after getting through to the last-16, where they lost against eventual winners Argentina.
