Residents of a retirement village which featured on a popular Channel 4 show have raised fresh fears over plans for a quarry which will leave a "scar" on the Nottinghamshire countryside.
Aggregates company London Rock Supplies has been seeking permission to open a sand and gravel pit in the fields off the A453 between Clifton and Barton-in-Fabis for the past eight years.
The quarry would form part of Nottinghamshire County Council's revised Minerals Local Plan which was passed during a full council meeting in March of last year.
