Usually based in Leicester, Imh said: “We opened on July 3, it’s been a little busy and this is our first shop. Maybe in the future, we’ll have another shop.”
Imh continued: “I’ll be here to help sometimes and there’s three other staff. I think the colour of the shop will get people coming in.”
The shop will be open Monday to Saturday, from 9.30am-6.30pm. Passer-by in the city centre shared their views on the new shop. Julie Wake, 56 who lives in West Bridgford and is retired, said: “I’d rather see anything but takeaways and nail shops are popular amongst all people, they’re not just for the ladies! It’s a nice and bright place.”
Julie added: “I wish them luck.”
With hundreds of colours and dozens of treatments to choose from, a manicure starts from £15, a pedicure £26 and acrylic extensions with full set colour powder is £33. With proof of student dentification, students get 10% off.
Danielle Clarke, 20 lives in Carlton. Danielle who is currently a student said: “I saw it when I was on the bus with the balloons and you can’t miss the colour, it’s dead eye-catching.”
Danielle added: “I get my nails done quite a bit but it is expensive. Just like any other shop, when you first open it can take a while for people to keep on coming to you because they already have their usual places they go and people can be dead funny with where they get their nails done.”
