Elon Musk didn’t waste any time responding to the newly public Jeffrey Epstein files, stating he had pushed hard for their release and was glad it finally happened. According to the UNIlad report, the tech CEO also clarified that while he had very little correspondence with the convicted sex offender, he absolutely declined repeated invitations to visit the notorious island or fly on the infamous “Lolita Express.”
The US Justice Department released a massive trove of Epstein Files documents on Friday, January 30, which included millions of files, images, and videos related to Epstein. Among these documents were email threads that appear to show Musk and Epstein discussing potential meetings, including visits to Little Saint James, Epstein’s private island.
Digging into the correspondence, one of the most eye-opening exchanges happened back in November 2012. Epstein emailed Musk asking about the headcount for a helicopter trip to the island. Musk’s reply is pretty wild. He wasn’t looking for a quiet retreat at all. He asked directly: “Probably just Talulah and me. What day/night will be the wildest party on your island?”

He followed up, explaining that he had been working “to the edge of sanity” that year and wanted to “let loose” in St. Barts or “elsewhere” after his kids went home for Christmas. Musk made it explicitly clear what he was looking for when he wrote: “The invitation is much appreciated, but a peaceful island experience is the opposite of what I’m looking for.”
Epstein seemed to pick up on the implication, replying, “Understood, I will see you on st Barth, the ratio on my island might make Talulah uncomfortable.” That comment is seriously concerning, but Musk quickly dismissed the worry, stating simply, “Ratio is not a problem for Talulah.” The only other correspondence found thus far was about a failed visit to the same island in 2013, when Epstein had to cancel because of his schedule.

Musk anticipated that these emails would surface and be used against him. He recently reiterated his position on X, saying he was “well aware that some email correspondence with him could be misinterpreted and used by detractors to smear my name.” He doesn’t seem worried about the personal attacks, though.
What he really cares about, he says, is ensuring that authorities “at least attempt to prosecute those who committed serious crimes with Epstein, especially regarding the heinous exploitation of underage girls.” His words resonate when the file also contained reports linking President Trump with a 13 year old girl. The files also implicated other political and business figures, as well as giving data about Ghilaine Maxwell, his will, as well as other financial transactions.
