New Edinburgh double decker bus tour of city with afternoon tea experience

A new guided tour around the capital is coming to the city, letting people enjoy a relaxed afternoon tea while they explore the city.

The new tour, called SuperBus, will feature a high-end double decker bus that will give people a chance to have a relaxed tour across the most famous parts of the capital. The tour will feature live commentary from a knowledgeable tour guide to make sure you aren’t missing out on finding out more of Edinburgh’s fascinating history.

The breathtaking views will also be accompanied by a unique feature- afternoon tea. Patrons will be able to enjoy the refreshments while they are driven around the city.

Each tour lasts between an hour and an hour and a half. Beginning in Waterloo Place and visiting some of the city’s must see highlights including the Scot’s Monument, The Meadows, Edinburgh Castle, The Grassmarket and Holyrood Palace.

The onboard catering will be provided by a family run and Perhshire-based business called Willows. THey will be preparing the afternoon tea fresh daily, using local suppliers and Scottish ingredients.

For those of you interested in taking advantage of the new tours, SuperBus will be running three times a day on Monday to Saturday. Leaving Waterloo Place at 11:30am, 2pm and 4:30pm.

Tickets range in price from £34 for an upper floor seat, £29 for a lower floor seat, £10 for a child and children under 12 riding for free. The new bus tour launched at the end of June and is the perfect opportunity for Fringe tourists to get a good view of the capital.
