Budget airline Ryanair has announced eight new direct routes from Edinburgh Airport as part of a huge investment into the capital.

Passengers will be able to travel to destinations in France, Italy, Spain and Morocco on an increased schedule bolstering the number of flights available by 50.

The airline’s capital-based fleet will increase to ten aircraft, five of which will be Boeing 737 8-200 ‘Gamechanger’ planes, while 300 jobs are set to be created.
