A new Scottish sustainability consulting firm has launched today.
Perth-based Jordisk Consulting has started working with companies across the UK and Europe to solve increasingly complex sustainability requirements.
“We need to accelerate the scale and pace of change in business, and at Jordisk, we provide pragmatic support to help businesses to transform” said chief executive David Howe. “We are helping companies to go beyond setting targets and working to embed sustainability into the core of their business model.”
He continued: “Businesses of every size recognise that they need to do more, but find it difficult to move beyond the reporting requirements placed on them by governments and investors.
“We have a team of incredible sustainability professionals with experience from some of the biggest companies in the world who know how to make progress.”
The firm is looking to create 20 new jobs in the next year, giving the opportunity for graduates from Scottish universities to work alongside experienced professionals to build their careers.
Howe added: “We need more people who understand sustainability working in businesses, we want to create a talent engine for the Scottish market and play a part in closing the skills gap.”
To demonstrate a commitment to businesses having better impact, Jordisk has established itself as a B Corporation, proving the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance.
