New commissioner picked to run tax office

Experienced public servant Rob Heferen will take the reins at the tax office for a seven-year term starting early 2024. 

Mr Heferen will join the Australian Taxation Office as commissioner after a few years as head of the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare.
