New chairman of Ofcom Sir Ian Cheshire ‘honoured and delighted’ to take on role

Sir Ian Cheshire has said he is “honoured and delighted” to be announced as the new chairman of Ofcom.

It was confirmed by Technology Secretary Liz Kendall on Wednesday that the 66-year-old, who was the Government’s pick for the role, will become the head of the UK’s independent regulator for communications.
