FREDERICTON — Health officials in New Brunswick are reporting another COVID-19-related death as the province prepares to move to the least restrictive level of the government's COVID-19 winter plan.
There have now been 298 COVID-19-related deaths in New Brunswick since the start of the pandemic after a person over the age of 90 died from the Moncton region.
There are 78 people hospitalized — down one from Thursday — including eight people in intensive care.
There are 364 health care staff who are isolating after testing positive for COVID-19.
As of midnight tonight, restaurants, bars, gyms and retail businesses can operate at full capacity but will continue using the vaccine passport system.
Masks will remain mandatory for all indoor public places and for outdoor public places where physical distancing can't be maintained.
