New Brunswick reports three more COVID-19 deaths, 124 people in hospital

FREDERICTON — New Brunswick is reporting three more deaths attributed to the novel coronavirus.

Officials say a person in their 50s died in the Saint John region, someone in their 70s died in the Moncton area and an individual in their 80s died in the Edmundston region.

They say 124 people are in hospital with the disease, including 12 in intensive care.

Officials say that number includes 71 COVID-19-positive people who were admitted to hospital for other reasons.

As well, 417 health-care workers are isolating after having contracted the virus.

Officials are reporting 488 new infections and 4,389 active cases.
