Brisbane forward Kobe Hetherington will get an early chance to prove himself in the No.13 jersey, and the move has the backing of club legend Trevor "The Axe'' Gillmeister.

Hetherington wants to play lock this year after spending most of his career on the bench, which would lead to Test forward Pat Carrigan switching to prop.
