Britain's Got Talent's new judge Bruno Tonioli got a little ahead of himself during his debut on the hit show - and this resulted in him making a hilarious blunder.
The moment left him the former Strictly Come Dancing judge mortified - and he rapidly realised he'd dropped a clanger and not followed the usual rules. Co-star Simon Cowell called out the error, and Bruno was left floundering - though he made it clear he had no regrets.
Host Ant McPartlin suggested Bruno had broken the rules with his error, as Simon explained the rules to him after his mistake. It all kicked off when Bruno was wowed by a dance group called Ghetto Kids, aged between five and 13 years old.
They performed a routine to a medley of songs, but before they were anywhere near finished Bruno made an error. So impressed by the group, the Strictly legend star pressed his golden buzzer, sending them straight through to the live shows.
What Bruno didn't realise though was that this was an error. He'd forgotten that the buzzers are meant to be pressed after the performance is over. Instead, he pressed it midway through, sending golden confetti falling from the ceiling.
The group were thrilled, and carried on dancing surrounded by confetti, before jumping around with joy at the end. It's then that Simon explained this had "never happened before", before telling Bruno his mistake.
Realising what he had done, Bruno shouted: "Oh I'm sorry, I got it wrong," looking very embarrassed as he faced the group. Alesha Dixon was visibly shocked when Bruno pressed his buzzer at the wrong time, and looked to see Simon's reaction during the routine.
Then the pair decided to reveal all to an oblivious Bruno, explaining he'd pressed it at the wrong time. Ant was heard shouting: "Someone didn't explain the rules of Britain's Got Talent to him."
Simon then explained the rules to Bruno, to which he replied: "I had no idea," while looking very red-faced about the whole ordeal.
It comes as Bruno made his big debut on the show, following former judge David Walliams quitting the series. David's exit was revealed in November 2022, ahead of auditions being filmed from January onwards.
"David has decided to bow out after a ten-year run. He wants to leave on a high after a wonderful time," an insider told The Sun at the time. Being on the show has been a huge source of entertainment and joy for him and he is arguably the most popular member of the panel.”
