A multi-million pound leisure centre is set to open in Bingham next month. The new £13million Bingham Arena Leisure Centre on Chapel Lane will include a 25-metre six lane swimming pool, teaching pool, fitness centre, community hall and café.
The current Bingham Leisure Centre at Toot Hill School will close, although facilities will remain available for outdoor sports including hockey, tennis and athletics, and sports hall activities outside of school hours. These will be managed by Lex Leisure, which will also be managing the new site.
Current memberships and bookings at the Toot Hill site will transfer over to the new state-of-the-art 5,500 square metre leisure centre. As well as promoting fitness and exercise, the venue will also be home to Bingham Jubilee Community Hall with support from Bingham Town Council.
