New Bank Holiday Ireland 2022 date confirmed by Cabinet

Bank Holiday Ireland

Cabinet Ministers have signed off on a new Bank Holiday for Ireland which will be Friday, March 18.

Tanaiste Leo Varadkar, Health Minister Stephen Donnelly and Public Expenditure Minister Michael McGrath are due to make the announcement later this morning.

The Bank Holiday, which will fall on March 18 this year, will be a one-off and from 2023 a new bank holiday will fall around St Brigid's Day.
