New Apprentice contestants say they are the 'Kim Kardashian and 'James Bond' of business

Two of Sir Alan Sugar's latest The Apprentice contestants have likened themselves to some of showbiz's best-known faces as they hope to win investment from the entrepreneur. While the hopefuls of each series have ambition in abundance, it seems as though some this year have taken that to the extreme by name-dropping mega stars.

And while it's yet to be seen whether they live up to their namesakes, they've certainly gone out of their way to stand out. One hopeful, Rochelle Anthony, didn't hold back and has said she is always compared to Kim Kardashian, a successful entrprenuer and businesswoman already..

As part of her profile ahead of the show's launch on Thursday, January 5 the hair salon owner from Bedfordshire said: “I’m always being compared to the Kim Kardashian of the business world because I’m doing business with a hint of glam.” Rochelle's Instagram page sees the glam businesswoman and mother of two, describes herself as a 'hair guru' and she's also the owner of Milton Keynes salon, The Dolls House.

And if glam businesswoman isn't enough, another contestant has gone even further by comparing himself to 007 himself. Joe Phillips, a safari guide from Worcester is hoping to impress with his covert skills it seems by describing himself simply as "The James Bond of the business world". After studying zoology Joe became a safari guide in South Africa and he's also hoping Lord Sugar will invest in his business idea - eco-friendly lipbalms. He has said: "If Lord Sugar wants to invest in a business to help save the ocean, one lip balm at a time, then I’m his guy."

The show, where Lord Alan Sugar whittles down the hopefuls with weekly challenges before one wins a £250,000 investment in their business from him, has been running since 2005.
