New album releases: Eddie Vedder, Beach House, Tears for Fears

Here are some upcoming album releases to check out in February:

“Earthling,” Eddie Vedder

The Pearl Jam frontman flies solo — well, kind of — on this highly anticipated set due out Feb. 11. Vedder is actually in very good company on “Eathling,” which reportedly features contributions from such fellow Rock & Roll Hall of Famers as Elton John, Stevie Wonder and Ringo Starr. He’s already released three singles from the album, including the top 10-charting alt-rock song “Long Way.”

“Pilgrim Journey,” Lynda Randle

The acclaimed gospel vocalist is back with a new album, which was produced by multi-Dove-winning singer-songwriter Cindy Morgan and includes a duet with Little Big Town’s Kimberly Schlapman. “Pilgrim Journey” — featuring the tremendous lead single “Plenty Good Room” — is due out Feb. 11.

“Once Twice Melody,” Beach House

The dream-pop duo, consisting of Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally, is doubling up — quite literally — on its follow-up to 2018’s winning “7.” “Once Twice Melody” is a double-album, reportedly broken down into four chapters, and is due out Feb. 18.

“Kingdom Come,” Rebecca St. James

The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter returns on Feb. 18 with her 10th full-length studio outing, which follows such gold-selling offerings as 1998’s “Pray.” The album’s terrific title track features For King and Country, the pop duo consisting of St. James’ brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone.

“The Tipping Point,” Tears for Fears

The platinum-certified pop-rock troupe returns with its first full-length album in nearly 18 years. “The Tipping Point,” which follows 2004’s “Everybody Loves a Happy Ending,” is the band’s seventh studio album to date and is due out Feb. 25.
