New 370 bedroom student accommodation scheme in Swansea reaches construction milestone

Construction work on a new 370 bedroom student accommodation scheme in Swansea has marked its highest point with a topping out ceremony. The Ty Nant project, which is being forward funded by EQT Exeter, is being delivered by Bangor-based developer Watkin Jones.

The development, which will provide accommodation for Swansea University students, is scheduled for completed in September in time for the 2023-24 academic year.

The purpose built student accommodation (PSBA) scheme is Watkin Jones’ second in the city following the delivery of nearby near 1,000 bedroom St David’s scheme.
