A new children's adventure play park with mini Land Rovers has opened at Holme Pierrepont Country Park, near West Bridgford. The attraction was added following feedback from families who asked for more things for younger children.
The free to use fun apparatus includes a Titan Swing, a treetop adventure, with slides and tunnels, plus a rope ladder, climbing wall and zipline. Also new is a specially designed circuit with mini Land Rovers for children aged three to 14 to drive around.
The country park - the home of the National Water Sports Centre - is one of the only facilities in the local area to feature the fun mini electric vehicles, which go up to 5mph. They cost £9.50 per child for a 30-minute drive.

While children are using the cars, parents will walk alongside with a remote control, which overrides the vehicle’s controls, to ensure the safety of the mini-drivers. The adventure play park has been jointly funded by the country park’s operators Serco Leisure and More Leisure Community Trust, who have invested £120,000 into the facility.
Jack Garner, contract manager for the trust said: "“We asked customers what more they wanted from the country park, and the feedback were rceived said ‘more things to do for toddlers and young children’ so that’s what we’ve delivered.
“The adventure Play Park looks amazing. In fact, I’d go as far to say I reckon it’s the best one I’ve seen in Nottingham! Big thanks go out to our grounds team for their work on this and our partners at HAGS, who supplied all the incredible equipment.
“These mini Land Rovers are such a great addition to what we offer kids and families. Our grounds team have done a tremendous job creating the fun circuit for youngsters to drive around, and I expect these child-friendly off-roaders to be one of the hits of the summer at Holme Pierrepont Country Park.
