The new development at a popular nature reserve in Leigh is due to be finished 'by autumn', it has been revealed. The visitors centre and café at Pennington Flash is edging closer to completion and the adventure playground is planned to open next year.
Despite this, some visitors have questioned why the work has been done at the busiest period of the year. The bulk of this £1.6 million upgrade has taken place during the spring and summer months.
“It will be a lot better here when the café is done,” Lilian Lloyd said recently during a visit to Pennington Flash.
